Licensing
All photographs published on Nowhere Borders are the work of Nønløsô and are protected by copyright. None of them may be reproduced, published, redistributed, altered or used to train an automated system without written permission.
Permission is asked for, never assumed.
There is no blanket licence on this site: every request is read and answered individually, and nothing on this page authorises a use in advance.
Editorial use: newspapers, magazines and other publications may license photographs for editorial use. Most licences are paid. In some cases — independent press, small publications, work close to the subject of the photographs — a photograph may be granted at no cost, with credit. Which case applies is decided one request at a time, and only after asking.
Commercial use: advertising, brand and product communication, book and record covers, merchandising: negotiated case by case, in writing, before publication.
Non-commercial use: unions, collectives, associations, students and independent projects: ask. Non-commercial does not mean automatic — but it is the context in which a photograph is most often granted.
Credit: every photograph published under licence must carry the line © Nønløsô, placed beside or beneath the photograph itself — not only in a general list of sources at the end.
How to ask: contact Nønløsô saying which photograph, where it will appear, at what size, for how long, and whether the use is commercial. A request that says all five gets an answer quickly.
